Lisa Landry, Director of Education 

Biography

Lisa Landry is an Oakland native with a passion for equity in education, storytelling, and entrepreneurship. Lisa is a graduate of Dillard University where she studied Psychology and Creative Writing. It was through Lisa’s psychology coursework that she discovered the disparities of mental health education in African American Communities. Lisa worked with many organizations to raise awareness and combat this issue, which ultimately led to her becoming an educator and founder of “The Oakland Homegrown Project”. Lisa taught for 9 years and continues to be an advocate for her students and families in underrepresented communities.
